What is INSEAD OnLine (IOL)?

INSEAD OnLine is an integral part of INSEAD and offers online solutions that complement our business education programmes. It responds to the demands of busy executives for access to lifelong learning tools in a convenient and easy to use package.

Drawing on the excellence of its international faculty, staff and global development partners to create the best in online education, INSEAD OnLine offers a range of online courses and tools, including an Internet based-platform to complement its on-site seminars in management education.

What kinds of courses are offered?

INSEAD Online provides a range of online courses for self-development, or as pre-programme and post-programme modules complementary to attending an on-site course. Most of our courses represent between 3 to 6 learning hours and can be taken as stand-alone management development courses, for managers to follow at their own pace from their office or home.

Can I do an online MBA with INSEAD OnLine?

Currently, we do not offer an online MBA programme. Our online courses are independent and do not count for credit towards any diploma programme. To find out more about our on-site MBA and Executive programmes, please consult the INSEAD web-site at www.insead.edu.

How are the courses structured?

Managers learn by making decisions in real business scenarios, prompted by a coach, who offers appropriate guidance and explains the possible outcomes of each decision.

How long are the courses?

Each course represents between 3 to 6 learning hours. This is the average time a learner spends online with the course, but this can vary considerably from one individual to another. Once you have received your personal login and password to enter the course, your access will be valid for a period of 90 days.

Are the courses facilitated (monitored by an online coach)?

Except for the blended learning solutions which are available for corporate groups of 20+ mangers, the courses are stand-alone modules without facilitation. This means that you will be working through the content at your own pace and at times that are convenient to you. What is the cost?

The price of each course is displayed on the course description page. The cost is based on the approximate number of learning hours required to complete the course. The facilitated courses within the context of a blended learning programme will entail a supplementary cost to be depending on the exact format. Payment will be required in Euros by credit card, for the full amount at the time of registration. The price displayed does not include the VAT (applicable for all EU countries). Is it possible to obtain a certificate from INSEAD OnLine?

INSEAD OnLine will be happy to provide a certificate of completion for any courses taken. To obtain your certificate, please send an email to tech@inseadonline.com confirming your registration number and the date you completed the course, together with your full name and postal address.

How do I enrol?

You may register directly from our web-site for any online course(s) and gain immediate access to start at your own convenience. Payment is by credit card only in Euros. Once your payment is validated, you will receive a confirmation of your registration by email. Shortly afterwards you will receive a second email with your personal login and password to access the course(s). Your login will be valid for a period of 90 days in total, during which time you may access the course(s) as many times as you wish.

What is INSEAD InterAct, the web-based platform?

INSEAD OnLine has created a community learning space to support traditional classroom programmes and inter-modular project work. Before, during and after the programme, participants and professors can access programme details, communicate with each other, and exchange ideas and documents, within a virtual learning space on the internet.
